How to – deal with faulty Whirlpool products

You may have seen in the news today that Whirlpool has finally decided to recall over half a million dangerous tumble dryers that potentially could burst into flames.

Now this problem has been ongoing for over 4 years, so while it’s good that there’s a potential resolution, the fact remains that many people have been severely inconvenienced already by the problem.

Whirlpool has set up a special website to help you identify if you’re affected and how to get the problem sorted. Your options are:

  • To have it replaced free of charge.
  • To get an upgrade from £59.
  • To have the machine fixed by an engineer.
  • To choose a refund (which will be dependent on the age of your tumble dryer).

If you are affected you should unplug the machine immediately and stop using it.
