Scam Alert! – Fake Thomas Cook refund fraudsters

We’ve heard from loads of people who’ve been contacted by scammers claiming to be from Thomas Cook.

The scammers have asked for card details, offering a “full refund” for holidays affected by Thomas Cook’s problems.

Be careful of any phone calls claiming to be from Thomas Cook, your bank, or any other official organisation offering an immediate refund.

Never share any personal details over the phone.

If you decide to call your bank to check if they’ve contacted you, always call from a different line. Fraudsters may stay on the line to dupe you into giving your details.
