Do you want smarter tips on saving money – with the potential to save up to £1,500 a year? Well, good news, Resolver has teamed up with Snoop to help you do just that.

By downloading Snoop on to your mobile phone and connecting your accounts, you’ll get fresh eyes on your bills and tailored tips to save you money based on what you spend and where. With the financial challenges around for consumers, free ways to save seem too good to ignore. So take a look to see what Snoop is all about.

What is Snoop?

Snoop is a free app that works 24/7 to track your spending habits. You simply download the app, then connect your accounts to it, and Snoop tracks your spending patterns and uses this intelligence to identify where you can save.

The app works best when you connect your bank and credit card accounts to it. But you can be safe in the knowledge that Snoop will never ask for login or password details on those accounts. Snoop works through ‘Open Banking’, a Government-sponsored initiative using the latest secure tech, and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Why use Snoop?

Connecting your accounts to Snoop for free means you can:

  • See all your accounts in one place: If you connect all your accounts to Snoop you’ll see your balances and transactions in one view and get weekly and monthly summaries of your spending. You can set up an alert to get your balances each morning – a nice check to keep on top of things.
  • Get money-saving tips tailored to your spending: Snoop can serve you tailored money-saving tips based on how you spend and who you’re spending with. The app will scan your transactions and work out ways to save you money at the places you already spend. What’s more you’ll get ‘Snoops’ – a fully-personalised feed of these suggestions.
  • Have a fresh pair of eyes on your bills: Snoop shows you a list of all your regular bills, and alerts you if there are big swings. Every Sunday, Snoop will send you a ‘look ahead’ summary of the payments going out of your accounts over the next week so you can check you’ve got the cash to cover them.
  • Join the community of Snoopers: Snoop encourages users to share their own money-saving tips. So, mixed in with the suggestions from Snoop on your feed will be things that other ‘Snoopers’ have spotted at the places they spend – little money hacks that worked for them and they want to pass on to other consumers.

And if you want to switch suppliers…

Snoop can spot if you’re paying over the odds on your energy bills compared to other ‘Snoopers’ and will give you a quick quote to see if you can save. If you want to switch, you can arrange this through the app in minutes.

The Snoop team has recently added a credit card checker, which scans your transactions to spot where you’re paying interest when you don’t need to, and alert you if you’re falling foul of foreign transaction fees or missing out on rewards. Snoop will soon be expanding this to help you switch cards too – if it’s right for you.

Start making your money work harder right now – download the Snoop app.
