EasyJet grounds flights – have you been trying to contact them?

London Gatwick, UK - Nov 23rd, 2017: Passengers board an Easyjet airplane at London's Gatwick airport

We’ve heard from lots of people trying to get through to EasyJet and many of the other airlines today. Given the news this morning, it’s perhaps understandable that EasyJet has been snowed under by people trying to get in touch. There’s no simple answer to this, but here are a few tips.

Is it urgent?

It’s vital that the phone lines for the business are for urgent enquiries only for now. If you’re stuck abroad then do keep trying.

If you can, go through the ‘manage my booking’ section of the website. Easyjet have published guidance here: https://www.easyjet.com/en/policy/coronavirus-vouchers

We understand the ‘refund’ option has been removed and phoning is the only way to request this. However, try later in the week if it’s not urgent, you’ve got a better chance of getting through.

Stay calm.

We understand that there is a wait on the phone right now but be supportive of the staff on the other end of the phone. Imagine the day they’re having.

As soon as we can, we’ll provide you with guidance on your rights for refunds, vouchers and rebooking. If you can move the booking forward in time or take vouchers then it will help the airline, but we understand this won’t work for everyone.
